RACE START 5:30 PM (Rain or Shine)
THE EVENT
COURSE
A traffic free, flat course which starts at
Sea Isle City Beach Patrol Headquarters, located at 44th street and Boardwalk.
Run north on boardwalk to 29th Street ramp, onto beach to Strathmere turn
around, return over same route running south to 57th Street ramp, onto
beach to Townsend's Inlet turn around, return along the beach to finish
in front of beach patrol headquarters.
DISTANCE AND RUNNING SURFACE
A ten mile race with approximately two and half miles
on a paved boardwalk. The remaining seven miles will be on the beach. Low tide
occurs at 3:22 pm providing for four hours of an excellent running surface on
the beach.
NO WALKERS PLEASE!
Since this is a ten mile evening race, it will be
dark by the time walkers finish. This creates a safety hazard.

RACE FEATURES
- Digital clocks will provide runners with their
time at each mile marker
- Plenty of water stations
- Refreshments at finish line
- Toilet facilities provided at the start and
finish of race
- Sea Isle City Beach Patrol's emergency medical
technicians will provide first aide
- L & M Computerized Sports will post an order
of finish roster enabling runners to ascertain their time and place. Complete
overall order of finish available on L & M's website www.lmsports.com.
- Applications for the 2009 will be mailed to each
runner's home address.
- Free parking for all registrants until 9:00
pm at the municipal lot on Central Ave. and 48th Street.

AWARDS
High quality 100 percent heavyweight cotton,
multi-color T-shirts to the first 1,200 registrants.
There will be male and female divisions for
the following categories:
- Cash prizes for the following: first place $250.00,
second place $150.00 and third place $75.00.
- Cash prize for the following individuals (not a
team award): first police officer $50.00, first firefighter $50.00, and first
SICBP alumni $50.00.
- Trophies first through tenth place finishers.
- Trophies to first and second place winners in the
following age groups: (16 and under), (17-19), (20-24), (25-29), (30-34),
(35-39), (40-44), (45-49), (50-54), (55-59). (60-64), (65+).
NO DUPLICATION OF AWARDS. The top ten finishers
in the male and female divisions are not eligible for age group trophies.
Team plaques and individual medals to each
scoring member in the following categories:
- first and second place BEACH PATROLS
- first and second place RUNNING CLUBS
- first place CORPORATE TEAM
Awards ceremony will be held at the beach patrol headquarters,
44th Street and Boardwalk at 7:30 pm.

Entry Fees
- Pre-registration: - $20.00 - must be postmarked
or delivered in person by July 23, 2008
- Post registration - $25.00 - after July 23, 2008
- Team entry: $23.00 - charge per individual for
team members - must be postmarked or delivered in person by July 23,
2008 - $28.00 post registration after July 23, 2008.
